As one of the earliest Peace Corps Volunteers in the Philippines, right out of college, Kate had adventure in her soul. She has been to all 7 continents, including gorilla trekking in Uganda, tiger trekking in Nepal and India, catching piranha in the Amazon, jumping into the frigid waters of the Antarctic, and climbing Mt Kinabalu in Borneo.
Kate was the first female General Contractor in Ohio. With only a BA in Biology, she set out studying and put together a successful custom home design and construction company. She was successful in that field by being a team player. Being a woman as the "boss" in a field dominated by men, she had to show leadership and cooperation in order to complete the projects.
If new challenges don't come to Kate, she seeks them out-- like taking flying lessons and being a Volunteer Coordinator at the Atlanta Olympics. When the opportunity came to be on a Reality Show (The Mole), Kate, of course, said "why not?!". Who knows what she'll do next!!
